Don't Mess with Texas

Opening Remarks

All the hoopla about blogging makes me wonder what I have been missing. I guess a chance to document my views and debate with others. So I begin by opening up my own account tonight and here it is.

I was born in Dallas, TX and have lived in Texas my entire life. I like the fact that Texans have great pride in their state and take every opportunity to express it. I would bet the Lone Star State Flag is one of the most recognizable state flags in the country. Anyway, enough bragging.
I currently live in Frisco, TX. A city that defines growth. Within the past few years, the city has opened the largest mall in North Texas, a minor league ballpark, a professional soccer stadium, and a gigantic Swedish furniture/decorative store called IKEA.
All of this in a town of less than 50,000 when we moved here in 2001. Now population estimates are around 78.000.Texas Flag
